To Hell and Back features a series of training modules for fire fighters and EMTs focused on the reality of burn injuries and how to prevent them. Developed through funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, this training is available online free of charge. This training focuses on how burn injuries can be prevented and how burn severity can be diminished by properly using personal protection equipment and breathing apparatus and following appropriate OSHA and National Fire Protection Association standards. The education in these modules builds from one module to the next, so viewing this training in sequential order is recommended. Each module includes a post test to check for understanding.
